No other cat can bash their way through the Pet Porte Smart Flap or claw the door open
towards them.
The unique design of the Pet Porte microchip cat flap means that it is virtually impossible
for a cat to paw the door open towards them because there is nothing for them to stick their claws into (no foam padding for example) and there is nothing for them to latch their claws under or through.
Together with the RFID-scanning this makes it the most secure cat flap available.
The unique design also makes it much less likely for your cat to get their paws or tail stuck in the door as can happen with other kinds of cat flaps including the rival SureFlap. This is due to the smooth rounded edge of the Pet Porte Smart Flap which is a registered design.
Cats cannot bash their way through like they can with electromagnetic, 4 way locking or infrared cat flaps. The door will stand up to more than 12kg of force – which is far greater than any domesticated cat is able to exert.
There is no chance of other cats being able to trigger the door to unlock as they can with magnetic and certain infrared cat flaps. Also because your cat does not need to wear any collar there is no chance of him or her being locked outside.
We are confident that the Pet Porte Smart Flap is your best option for keeping 100% of other cats out whilst providing your cat with unfettered access.
If any other cat started to tailgate your cat inside you can reduce the length of time that the door stays unlocked for after scanning your cat’s microchip.
The only thing the microchip cat flap cannot do at this time is prevent your cats from bringing in mice or birds.. But we are working on it!
